Payment Terms

Little Bugs opens our home to those who are looking for long term contracted care as well as those who may just need to "drop-in" every now and again. As always our contracted families are secured a position for the hours they are contracted, any care needed outside those hours is based on availability but will still be charged the contracted pricing. For those families who do not have contracted care but are looking to drop-in, all care is provided on a first come first serve basis with reservations taken up to one week in advance.

Contracted Hourly Rate-$3.00

Drop-in Rate- $4.00

Upon signature of contract I will require a deposit of one week of the contracted hours. This deposit shall "reserve" your childs place at Little Bugs. This deopsit will also be used for the last week of care for your child unless termination guidelines have not been followed. This reservation will be held for three weeks before weekly payment is required.

Payment will be accepted in the form of cash, check or money order at the first day of drop off for that week. In the unlikely event of a returned check I will require a $30.00 service fee as well repayment of any extra fees I may incur as a result of the returned check. If more than one check is returned within a three month period I will require that your payments will be made in cash or money order for the following 6 months.

Diapers or Training pants (i.e. pull ups),

Any child who runs out of diapers or training pants will be charged as follows.

  • Diapers $1.00 per diaper
  • Pull up $2.00 per training pants

Diaper fees for contracted care will be added to the following week. Diaper fees for drop in care will be due at the time of pick up.

Termination of Care

Any contracted care may be terminated at any time for any reason by either party with proper notice. Proper notice will consist of a written statement of withdrawal to the provider not less than two weeks prior to the child’s last day of care. If you choose to terminate care with less than proper notice, you agree to forfeit the entire deposit as well as pay regular tuition for two weeks even if your child will not be in attendance.

If at any time, after consultation with the parent/guardian, I feel that you or your child pose a safety risk to any of the children in my care or to myself, I will give you as much notice as possible that care will be terminated. This action will be reserved for extreme cases only and I will first attempt to resolve any issues with you before resorting to termination of care. Under these conditions, forfeiture of the deposit will be at my discretion.

Number of Children in My Care

We follow the state of South Dakota regulations for a home family day care, which allows the total enrolment to 12 children being cared for in a personal residence at a time, to include our own children. For your children's benefit as well as ours we will only accept as many children as we feel can be provided quality care and with that in mind the number of children in my care may vary from time to time.
